FOUNDATIONS
In 2001, we, at Casa de Galilea, started our journey with two certainties:
The first is that all men are created worthy of a happy and good life, and that such dignity can be obscured, but never lost by any type of marginalization. Each one of us, as a community, is responsible for creating the channels worthy of strengthening it. Such dignity, in turn, creates rights and obligations, and should not be given to people as alms or charity, but rather as a right. We must all become aware of such dignity, and everybody should be the driver of its development, not a passive recipient.
The second certainty that gives meaning to Casa de Galilea is a confidence in each person's ability to get ahead in any situation of marginalization and exclusion ─the confidence that creates ties between peers and neighbors and becomes the basis for building a hopeful path.

MISSION
Casa de Galilea is a Center for Human Development and Family Strengthening. Its mission is, firstly, to generate spaces that respond to the current situation of children, teenagers and adults by encouraging processes of change, development and personal growth, so as to improve their quality of life and facilitate equal opportunities and rights in our society. We seek to promote the supportive integration of San Isidro’s civil society ─in particular the neighborhoods near La Cava─ into this human and family development project.
Secondly, its mission is to foster involvement in a national solidarity project showing that equal opportunities and equity are possible in Argentina. And thirdly, it is to encourage and take part in the building of the social fabric, starting from small projects at local level that can be replicated across the country.
